Summer Colmus is an artist based in Honolulu, Hawai'i. Although her family is full of artists, Summer discovered her own love for painting when she moved to Hawai'i. Growing up, she would always sketch intricate patterns into every book that had extra space. When she saw the detail of Polynesian design and the meaning behind each line, she was immediately captivated. As Summer began painting in Honolulu, she decided to incorporate these designs along with the vibrant colors that surrounded her on this island into acrylic paintings. Using these original paintings, she has created numerous designs of stickers and prints so that many more people can enjoy her art. Summer is inspired every day by the culture and landscape of Hawai'i and continues to find new ways to capture it in her art.
